Pucker up your lips, like dis...

I'm not one to rant about the awesomeness of products. There are few that I would take to the mountaintops and joyously shout the praises of.

But in a world full of disappointing products and drawers full of products that didn't make the grade - I have found a winner.

My coworkers and friends know that I have recently become a crazed couponer. So when I received a coupon for $3 on a Neutrogena face product - I figured I would try it. I've been on the hunt for a lip gloss that didn't feel like the first ingredient was glue, and wouldn't make my lips as dry as the Sahara. The Neutrogena MoistureShine gloss is my new favorite. I've worn it and *gasp* actually reapplied it for the past few days! I bought it in Whisper and after my trusty coupon - it was a whopping $4. Can't beat that!

Truer words were never spoken.

In case I haven't mentioned it - I love to cook. Not just for myself, but for guests in our home, my coworkers, total strangers - you name it, I love to cook. In my random watchings of the Food Network, I heard it said that cooking is a way to show your love and appreciation for people. I greatly agree - anyone can stop and pick up some flowers, when you spend time in the kitchen and take time out of your day to make something for someone, it's highly personal.

All that to say, this made me smile. It's true. Pancakes do make people happy.

Go ahead. Show a little shoulder.

As the temperatures climb and hover up in the mid-90's here in humid Central Texas - I have been raiding my closet for every "work appropriate" sundress I can find. Don't even get me started on how my bare shoulders at work are illegal but she who shall not be named rocks flip-flops on a Tuesday and is in the clear. Ahem.

All that to say, I've stumbled upon http://www.shopmodify.com/ and their adorable selection of sundresses - work appropriate and not. I especially like this one in all its glory.

The edge of the Earth...

The Mister and I finally booked our honeymoon! I couldn't be more excited to go. I've always wanted to spend a week on a tropical island, lounging on some white sand beaches, and frolicking (yes, frolicking) in the beautiful blue water.

Head here for total relaxation.

Another Sweater That Would Look Amazing on Sharon Chen.

I happen to work in the cube next to one of the most fashionable, adorable people on the planet. Her tiny little feet, and tiny little clothing size is the envy of more than half of this cinder-blocked cube prison. All that to say, I find myself shopping and wondering - would this be more me, or more sharon chen? More than half the time, it is a look I covet, that only someone of her diminuative size and enormous fashion sense could pull off. This sweater is something that I could see her pulling off with grace and ease. It is adorable.

Look how picky I am about my shoes, and they only go on my feet!

As a girl who loves her footwear, I am ashamed to admit that the majority of my shoes are crammed in boxes, hanging behind doors, and being wedged onto shoe holders from none other than Martha Stewart Living. Imagine my delight when I was working/perusing outblush.com (a great blog to check out if you're in the market for more reading) and saw these. A new, lovely home for my 64 pairs and counting of beautiful footwear.

Fashion gone local

Despite living in Austin - I've never been part of the "keep austin weird" campaign. I grew up in Orange County, where keeping it local wasn't even on the radar.

I'm slowly learning the Austin way, and am being swayed by such local awesomeness as this. The local UT Fashion Senior's show.

For the record, if anyone wants to send me Slide 2 in an 8 - I'm not too proud to accept it. Love that orange detail!

Put simply, I love shoes.

If I had an awesome LBD, some great chunky bracelets with some sort of metal detail - I'd rock the heck out of these shoes.

Also, if i never wanted to be able to walk again... I love shoes like that but in my life where I'm breaking into a jog to get from meeting to meeting, unpractical. Damnit.

Maybe this is more of a "sit there and look awesome" type of shoe. I can handle that.

I'm not exactly a blogger..

I'm not good at updating my facebook. Not great at myspace. Even worse at my livejournal - but my lovely coworker Sharon runs an awesome blog (http://sharonlovesthis.blogspot.com/) and she's inspired me.

I'm getting married this year, and when my mind isn't on work - it seems to be on weddings. If money were no object - I'd be sending out these as my announcements.

As I'm sure you'll see in future posts - i love paper. Give me beautiful stationary, and I'm a happy woman.
